What is AirRide Scale?
AirRide Scale is a wireless onboard weighing system by Loadsense. RF sensors read the air pressure in each air bag axle group on a truck or trailer, the AirRide Air Link hub collects the signals, and the Loadsense app on iOS or Android shows live axle group weights, gross weight and legal limit status.
Will AirRide Scale work on my truck or trailer?
AirRide Scale works on trucks and trailers with air bag (air ride) suspension on each axle group you want to weigh. It reads load through the air springs, so steel, leaf and mechanical spring suspensions are not supported. If your steer, drive and trailer groups ride on air, you are ready.
How accurate is an air bag suspension scale?
Accuracy depends on calibration. Each axle group is calibrated against a known reference weight, ideally from a certified weighbridge, and the app then converts live air pressure into dependable weights for everyday check weighing. Recalibrating after suspension work keeps readings precise.
How many sensors do I need?
One sensor per air bag position on each axle group you want to weigh, and rigs with dual levelling valves use two per group. AirRide Scale supports up to 16 sensors, which covers full truck and trailer combinations including B doubles and multi axle trailers.
What is the difference between RF and Bluetooth air bag sensors?
AirRide uses RF frequency between the sensors and the Air Link hub for longer range, around 50 metres line of sight, stronger signal along a long combination and longer battery life. The Air Link then converts to Bluetooth for the short hop to your phone, giving you the best of both.
Which phones does AirRide Scale support?
The Loadsense mobile app runs on both iOS and Android. Live weights, calibration and legal limit status are all handled in the app, and calibrations are stored on your device.
How is AirRide Scale installed?
It is a fast aftermarket retrofit: mount a sensor at each air bag position, install and power the AirRide Air Link, pair your phone by Bluetooth, then calibrate each axle group in the app. There is no in cab display to wire and no cabling run to the cab.
How do I calibrate the scale?
Park on level ground, enter a known axle group weight in the Loadsense app, let the app set the calibration, then re weigh to verify. Repeat per axle group. A certified weighbridge ticket is the best source for the reference weight.
Can fleet managers see the weights remotely?
Yes. The optional Loadsense cloud reporting portal shares live weights, compliance status and load records across the fleet, so dispatchers and managers see the same real time data as the driver.
