How Do I Install an Air Bag Scale on My Existing Equipment?

How do I install an air bag scale on my existing equipment? Retrofit AirRide Scale to your truck or trailer in four steps: mount sensors, connect Air Link, pair the app, calibrate.

One of the best things about AirRide Scale is that it is aftermarket ready. You do not need new equipment to get accurate onboard weighing, you retrofit it to the air bag trucks and trailers you already run. The wireless design keeps the install simple, with no cabling to route through the cab. Here is how it goes on.

The 4 steps to install AirRide Scale

  1. Mount the air bag sensors. Secure a wireless RF sensor to each air bag position on the groups you want to weigh, steer, drive and trailer.
  2. Connect the Air Link. Install the AirRide Air Link on the vehicle and power it up. This one hub gathers every sensor and relays to your phone.
  3. Pair the app. Pair your smartphone to the Air Link via Bluetooth and open the Loadsense app on iOS or Android.
  4. Calibrate the system. Follow the in app prompts to calibrate each axle group against a known weight, then drive.

Install in minutes, not days. Because the sensors are wireless and your phone is the display, a typical retrofit is fast and needs no dash cutting or in cab wiring.

Works on air bag suspension only. AirRide Scale reads load through the air springs, so it fits trucks and trailers running air bag (air) suspension on each axle group you want to weigh. Steel, leaf and mechanical spring axle groups are not supported. If your steer, drive and trailer groups ride on air, you are ready for AirRide Scale.

What makes the retrofit easy

  • Aftermarket ready. Fits most air bag trucks and trailers.
  • Wireless RF. Reliable connection with no cab cabling.
  • Easy retrofit. Install in minutes with basic tools.
  • Real time weights. Accurate, live and legal from day one.

AirRide Scale supports up to 16 sensors, so even multi axle trailers and combinations are covered. It suits owner operators and large fleets alike across the USA, Canada, South America and Europe.
