How do I reset scale calibration on air bag suspension axles? Reset and re-calibrate AirRide Scale in three simple app steps for reliable axle group weights.

There are times when adjusting calibration is not enough and you want to start clean, after major suspension work, fitting new air bags, moving sensors, or selling the unit to a new operator. Resetting calibration on your air bag suspension axles clears the old values so you can set a fresh reference weight. AirRide Scale makes this a quick job in the Loadsense app.

When to reset calibration

  • After replacing air bags, levelling valves or suspension components.
  • When you move or replace an RF sensor on an axle group.
  • If readings stay unreliable even after a normal recalibration.
  • When the vehicle changes hands and you want a clean baseline.

The 3 steps to reset and re-calibrate

  1. Open settings. In the Loadsense app, go to Settings and select Scale Calibration.
  2. Reset calibration. Tap Reset Calibration to clear the current values. This removes the old pressure to weight relationship for the selected axles.
  3. Re enter a reference weight. Enter a fresh known weight for accurate re calibration, ideally from a certified weighbridge, and let the app set the new baseline.

Tip: reset and re calibrate one axle group at a time, on level ground, so each group gets an accurate new reference. Calibrations are stored on your device.

Works on air bag suspension only. AirRide Scale reads load through the air springs, so it fits trucks and trailers running air bag (air) suspension on each axle group you want to weigh. Steel, leaf and mechanical spring axle groups are not supported. If your steer, drive and trailer groups ride on air, you are ready for AirRide Scale.

Why a clean reset helps

Clearing old calibration removes any drift or bad reference that built up over time. With a fresh, known weight in place, your axle group weighing returns to precise and dependable, so you can trust every reading and stay compliant. Quick steps, and you are back on the road with reliable weights.

Reliable measurements, restored

A reset is the master switch for accuracy. Combined with a good reference weight, it gives air bag suspension fleets dependable onboard weighing again in minutes.
